On February 8, 2026, Paula Modersohn-Becker would have turned 150 years old. During her lifetime, the artist sold hardly any of her paintings. It was only in the decades after her death that the art world recognized the magic inherent in her unique style. Today, her paintings are considered milestones of Expressionism.
